Dave Beckett
Another one of our amazing students, Dave Beckett (pictured with his teacher, Tim Peightal), accomplished one the game’s great milestones. A lifelong golfer and student of the game, Dave didn’t just break the 80 barrier, he smashed it. In Dave’s words, here is what happened:
“Last Friday, the 23rd, was also a personal best in my game. I golfed at Hawk’s Nest, a local course, with two of my buddies. We teed off later than normal as one was busy in the morning. I ended up shooting a 77 on the par 72 course with a slope rating of 123! I am still on cloud 9 over this one, as it is my first round in the 70’s, and a lifelong goal.
Yes Coach, there were some makeable birdie putts that I should have made which could have made the score lower.
Just wanted to share this great round with my extended golf family.”
