David Schwan
We are proud to report the success of another of our great students, David Schwan.
David won the very competitive Hogan flight of the Golf Channel’s Am Tour last October at the Homestead, in Virginia. After a shaky opening round of the 2-day event, (caused by an uncooperative putter) David stormed from 8 shots behind the Day 1 leader to win by a single stroke.
David, who is taught by the incomparable, Mary Mills, shot a superb closing round of 4-over par 70 on the Cascades course to claim his first victory on the Am Tour.
David’s victory also now qualifies him for the Am Tour’s National Championship Ship in September at PGA West. David will join another of Bird Golf’s fantastic students, Chuck Reeves, who won the 2014 National finals earlier in October https://www.birdgolf.com/chuck-reeves-part-ii/
David has worked very hard on his game and it is paying off. David also relayed that “I wore my Bird Golf hat both days!”
